Dale first began his mechanical career out of necessity rather than curiosity. Working on a farm with his dad, he completed his first solo engine swap at the age of 14.  He continued to fix and maintain the farm trucks and equipment until August 1981 where he began working for the Iowa Department of Transportation.  During that time Dale married Mary Beth, Andrews mother. Dale finished his career 33 years later as a Highway Foreman and Supervisor.   ATS Automotive was born during Dale's first few years of retirement.  Excited to see what his sons service automotive repair facility would develop into, Dale offered his knowledge and assistance as an automotive technician where he's worked with his son Andrew (Co-Owner) ever since.
